It refers to the evaluation of the outputs of teams within a project to measure their success and efficiency. Both Lean and Six Sigma programs are significant in the deployment of these principles. Lean methods include continuous flow, which permits teams to continuously deliver on-time, in the absence of interruptions caused by unplanned actions, and incorporates the scheduling of resources into the overall project plan. On the other hand, Six Sigma methodologies apply concepts like the lean cycle, value stream mapping, and problem solving to project management and deploy automated tools to create value.

They should provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information so that managers can make correct scheduling decisions.
